Hello Ahoora, Interrupt capability means to have the ability to trigger (HW) interrupts, whereas normal DI inputs have to be polled. An interrupt would give you a guaranteed short response time to a change of an input, wheras response time of a polled input (standard DI) would rely on cycle time and thus on program lenght. Therefore high speed applications like HSC use interrupts. You should also read this product note: S5-115U - Product Information on the 432-4 Interrupt Module regards
