What/How to read below mentioned PLC logic?

PISCEAN 2010 Diamond Member Joined: 4/23/2010 Last visit: 11/23/2024 Posts: 8092 Rating: (881)	Hello Experts, On 840Di (PLC317-2DP; 6FC5317-2AJ10-0AB0) with ATC in FC32 i.e. ATC logic netwoek 55 is as follows. Network 55 CALL FC 15 IN0 : =M195.0 IN1 : =3 IN2 : =M25.6 IN3 : =FALSE IN4 : =FALSE IN5 : =2.000000e+002 IN6 : =2.000000e+003 OUT7 : =M190.2 OUT8 : =M190.3 OUT9 : =M190.4 OUT10 : =M190.5 I learnt as FC15 is protected as such I couldnot read it. My query is what is the meaning of this logic? What are these IN0...IN6; OUT7...OUT10? Can any help me to understand this as well as understanding/reading of other protected FCs? Thanks in advance. DEEP.

Shaumi Posts: 28 Rating: (5)	Hello PISCEAN 2010, All i know is from its name It means that FC 15 has 6 input: its name is IN0...IN6 and also 4 output: its name is OUT7...OUT10. The SCL that you wrote not contain any logic explaining about FC 15, it just declare the variable in FC15. It's because when you create FC15 you just named in/temp/out variable as you like. So when you call it in main program you have to declared the variable with PLC's in/out/memory address. Yes I have read the manual but even then couldn't understand above network. As you said, those are variables defined in PLC. But what FC15 does with these 6 variables? Why only 4 outputs? What is relation between input & output? Does this FC converts, adds, moves, compares, scales these input variables? How out put is derived? Hope now my point of query might be clear.

If you created anything as IN,OUT,IN/OUT ; when you calling that fc (In your case FC15) you will get these links to encoporate your address. inside that FC only (In your case FC15) program logic will be present. from that fc call(network55), you just passing the parameter value to that fc. inside logic may be anything, that we will not able to predict ( if its standard library block, just click on that fc and press F1, it will give details of that block) regards vipz

Its uploaded. Please find attached here with complete PLC program. I tried to get the information by pressing F1, but it displays in German. Its name (header) is POS_AX. I searched in Siemens manual as well as on DocOnCD, but I could not get the details of FC15 as well as other protected FC details.
