What is IFM1F in the Led status

Can you share step by step of troubleshooting for this alarm..??

Because now, we got same problem in our factory.

What is IFM1F

Hello PravinKumar,

It is explained in "LED error displays with H-CPUs" with a great details.Each S7-400H redundant system consists of 4 sync modules and 2 optic fiber cables. IFM1F indicate the Status of first sync. module assembly and associated cable .In case of any interruption in the data transfer in fiber optic cable, removing the cables,IFM1F lits in both CPUs plus REDF (flashing RUN and STOP indicates CPU is in error-search mode).In case of faulty sync module, LED IFM1F will lit in the corresponding CPU(CPU in rack#0 or in rack#1).

Same applies for the 2nd pair that "IFM2F" indicates more.Check the attachment and also page related to "5.1 Operator controls and display elements of the CPUs " in the following manual:

Because now, we got same problem in our factory.

 It is not very difficult to handle.if you have such a problem (IFM1F or 1FM2F), possibly one of the sync modules in the sync pairs is dead.IFM1F is indication any trouble in the 1st pair and 1FM2F is indication of trouble in the 2nd pair.

You need to prepare a spare module and change faulty module based on the IFM1F/1FM2F LED , if you have not done such a change before, you can change by try and error.You can read the buffer of both CPUs or rely on LEDs on each sync module to spot  the exact faulty module.

I too have this ERRORS:

IFM2F LED IS ON

Read F Led is on.

I change module IF2 AND CABLE fibre but no fix errors.

The S7-400H manual has a section on "Failure and replacement of a synchronization module or fiber-optic cable":

You should examine the suggested procedure, check if you hav followed all the steps and recpmmendations when you replaced the synchronization modules an the fiber -optic cable.

In section 7 say:

If the reserve CPU changed to STOP in step 6:

Remove the synchronization module from the master CPU

I should remove it from the master cpu because it is in run mode

No need change master cpu to mode stop in section???
