When I use the TTY PG/PC cable (for S5 PLC) to transfer the program to the OP it always stop with the message 'transfer aborted by error' at the last second of the transfer

Jonah Lau Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Hi All, Can anyone help me on the followings? I have a COROS OP5-A2. When I use the TTY PG/PC cable (for S5 PLC) to transfer the program to the OP it always stop with the message 'transfer aborted by error' at the last second of the transfer. When Itest the OP I notice thatthe program has been transfered. However,I can't get it online with the S7-300 PLC. I'm using protool CS V6.0 SP2for the progrmming part. Pls help. TQ

Jonah Lau Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	HI Tweety, I've tried to use the 6XV1440-2KH32 cable and downloaded with V.24 mode but in vain. It was always aborted by error at the last second of the transfer countdown. However, according to the manual on the choice of cables, this shall work. Do I need to use the Protool SP3 for the firm ware of V1.35? By the way mycomputer is running on Win XP SP3. The cable is connected via a USB to RS232 converter. TQ.

Tweety Posts: 3037 Rating: (192)	Jonah Lau The cable is connected via a USB to RS232 converter. You need a "real" RS232 interface on your PC to download a project to OP5. "Real" interfaces are interfaces without implementation via USB. This means that you cannot use any "USB to serial" or "USB to Ethernet" adapters. Tweety
