Where's the V19 version of this - SIMATIC STEP 7 Basic V10.5 Getting Started

How come I have to have version V13 to be able to open the examples in the link.

Surely, there might be updated versions on the Siemens site?

Relatively new to Siemens, but have some experience of Step 7 and Logo!.

Every-time I have the need to use Siemens I get s sense of dread, installing the software took a week!

The performance of TIA Portal was really poor in the beginning and required a major change in the software architecture, especially in the way a project is saved. The conversion between the old and the new architecture is only included in version V13. This intermediate step is therefore necessary for such old projects. The demo projects in getting started with STEP 7 Basic V10.5 are, of course, created with STEP 7 Basic V10.5.

But you will not find a newer version on the support page, maybe in a forum post. If you want to learn STEP 7, check out the learning/training documents on the TIA Portal.
