rusli_rusli Bronze Member Joined: 3/31/2009 Last visit: 7/16/2024 Posts: 191 Rating: (3)	Dear Forum, i created a tested system for tag logging.. on wincc, there's only have 2 process tag. i create archive using wizard, and choose process value archive and select both process tag.. on my screen, i put 2 i/o field for process tag and OnlineTableControl which display archive data i run the system, both tag received data from automation system, and display current values as a change the values, but why the archive process seem not running ( no data is displayed ) and on connection icon it say 'no data connection could be established' attached is my tag logging configuration and runtime (taglogging2.jpg ) i already read the wincc manual and follow step, still wont work.. please help me.. br rusli Attachment taglogging.zip (294 Downloads)

denpetro Advanced Member Joined: 4/28/2009 Last visit: 6/24/2022 Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Hello, I activated tag logging and restarted WinCC as you stated before but the result is same, If I choose the preference of "online tags" in WinCC online trend control properties in my page, it is OK but when I choose as "archive tags", it does not show anything at runtime.

bg2492 Diamond Member Joined: 5/16/2014 Last visit: 9/12/2022 Posts: 7298 Rating: (2173)	Hello denpetro, you have activated the Taglogging in the startuplist of the computer, and you do not get data from the archives, but online data works. The data for displaying in the Trend-Control are delivered by the Taglogging-Server (process "CCTlgServer.exe") But the archives will be filled by an other process "CCWriteArchiveServer.exe" There are running usually three instances of this process for Alarmlogging, TagloggingFast and TagloggingSlow. You shold check with the Taskmanager if the processes are running. And you can check with the Windows-Explorer if you have files (.mdf and .ldf) in the subfolders for Taglogging in the folder "Archivemanager" in the WinCC-projectfolder. Regards Georg Berghof

But I can not see a process "CCWriteArchiveServer.exe" running in the Taskmanager. The question is, are data in these Archivesegments (files .mdf and .ldf). You could check this by using the MS SQL Server Management Studio. An other possibility is, that you have set in the properties of the Processvalue-archive, that the data should be stored in the RAM, but not on the harddrive. Regards Georg Berghof

I realized that on the other PC which the trends are running, there is one more running process called "CCArchiveConnMon" in task manager. The problem can be about this? In the runtime window the trend control bar has stop button, I push it and the "go" button does not appear when trend stops. I opened SQL management studio but I am not familiar with SQL server, do not know how to check archive values. Thanks. Attachment wincc.zip (273 Downloads)

But, as I said before, I can not see a process "CCWriteArchiveServer.exe" running in the Taskmanager. For checking the data in the archivesegments, you can go in the MS SQL Server Management Studio to the databases, starting with computername and having "TLG_F" or "TLG_S" in their names. Click with right mousebutton on the table "dbo.TagCompressed" and select in the contextmenu "Select Top 1000 Rows". Then you should find some entries with binary values.
