WinCC Archiving - Hysteresis setting

aussie Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hello all, We are configuring a PCS7 system in a power plant and bit confused about one of the setting in WinCC archiving. I would like to archive some tags only if there is a significant change. At the same time, I would like to archive the values on a continuous basis. For example, there is a value which is changing very frequently and I would like to archive it only if there is a change of +/- 2%. Besides that, even if there is no significant change, I would like to archive it once in every minute. There is a similar archiving method in Teleperm XP. Salma Gold Member Joined: 9/27/2005 Last visit: 11/27/2007 Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	The only way I can see to do this is to have two archive tags for the one process tag. One with the hysteresis set and the other with a two minute logging rate. Not ideal but all I can think of for this one.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Unfortunately you can only choose one archiving method for each tag. Salma's suggestion of using 2 archive tags will do the archiving part,and you'll have to treat the information before using it.
