automatinglego Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	hi i am facing with the same problem like duncan. But i have never changed any passwords:).Wincc 6.2 wasrunning without any errorand we made some projects. After a while,when i opened any project i see the message ".mcp file could not be loaded"and after continue, thetree on the left windows is missing some menus.When istart the runtimeeverythingseems normal but when i try to run a script it give adebug errorsaying"file name or class name not found during automation project". There is another computer that has the exact same problem here. Operating system is windows professional sp english.(i tried to reinstall both wincc and sql server) So can you help me?

Can you confirm that you can't create any new files in either of those 2 stations, and that the installation is ok in both of them? Can your project run properly in another station? Was it created in one of the stations with problem? Could you post your logs here? There's also this thread... Best regards, Danielle

automatinglego Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have already checked these links that you gave. My problem is different here. The problem is not only with the existing old project. I can create a new project without any error. Then close the project and reopen it , i see the screen with the error and the left window with the missing menus. Wincc's in the both pcs were working well this means there is no installation problem. At the first time after restarting the computer and open the wincc,there is no problem. After reopening the project or another project i have the same problem. I think when open and close a project it can not completely close the old one and this causes the problem when open a new one.I also doubt that this could be after awindows update. So thatis all. Why would it only affect 2 stations, and not the other ones? Did you not update the other ones? About MS Security Patches and WinCC I found this FAQ. If even when you create new projects you have trouble, then your WinCC has been messed, up, not your project... have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it in noe of those stations with problems? automatinglego Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi, Congratulations for your 1000. post Danielle. I restored the windows to 2 months ago by using windows restore tool. As I guess, the problem is solved. But i did it on the other computer not mine. There is no restore point on my pc . So to find the reason that causes to mess the wincc up like this,i started to uninstall all the programs and updates that are installed in last 2 months. But this is not the solution and the problem continues. Dou have any other advices otherwise i have to format my pc and this means at least two days to install all the programs . not:i checked the sql server logs and there is no error.

Now... when I asked for the diagnose, I meant WinCC diagnose folder, under "...\Siemens\WinCC\Diagnose" but if you restored windows on the other computer, and that one's doing fine, than the problem is probably one of the updates indeed. However, simply uninstalling the windows update will probably not solve it. You could uninstall and reinstall WinCC and all of its components. Remember to uninstall completely, cleaning the registry and all that could ever remind the computer WinCC had ever been there... With this you'll get, in theory, a clean new installation. If that doesn't work, then I can only think of a new Windows installation, to ensure whatever caused the problem to begin with will be gone. Actually, if I were you I would skip to formatting the computer, since even though it takes time, it's guaranteed. If you try clearing the computer from WinCC first, then you may end up just wasting even more time... One hint I can give you is creating an image of your HD as soon as you format the computer and have the basic software you'll need. With this you can completely restore your computer to a certain point within minutes. There are tools for that, you could search for one... then at least this would be the last time you'd spend time formatting the computer! Best regards, Danielle

He tried to connect to wincc-RT-Database via WinCCOption "connectivity pack". Thereforhe needed a login and passwort. he changed the passwort for the login "WinCCConnect". The result was: - the access via ConnectivityPack was OK!!!! - After closing WinCC, a restart WinCC failed!!!! The better way is, to create a new login, don't change exist logins!!!!! see http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/27147643
