WinCC Graphic Picture update speed

Buks Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	We find that it takes a while after opening a graphic page for all the data to update. Some pages show for example that a pump is not running (red color) for a few seconds before it changes to the correct state of running (green color). What can be done to improve the update rate of dynamic symbols and values?

How many objects are located on a single PDL? => perhaps you could attach a sample pdl in the forum? How many external tags are you using? Which trigger cycle did you choose for your objects in your graphics designer pictures? nemo

Buks Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	We are using a Server/MC system, a redundant server pair with two clients and an engineering station. PDL attached. External tags 12000/License 64k We tried various trigger cycles. On the attached PDL we used 1 sec, 2 sec, upon change and picture cycle to see if there is any difference. There is no difference in data update when the PDL is opened. It takes about two to three seconds for the first data to update on the screen. Sometimes it is longer that that and we have to close the graphic and open it again to get any live data. Attachment K0_REACTORS.zip (258 Downloads)

Buks Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	We have a primary and a backup server with two clients. The two servers do display graphics, but are not used for operations. The controllers are APACS+ units.

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	You can/should deactivate WinCC RT on your WinCC Server. Or use the Server-View pdl on your WinCC server (where you can´t control your process) for increasing the performance efficiently. => the WinCC servers with deactivated RT should be located in a room, which can not be accessed by everyone, because without running WinCC RT your PC is not secured against unauthorized actions by password
