Nil96 Posts: 325 Rating: (14)	Hi CBo, I tried to download--> changes only to the Server which was in Runtime. I get a message "RT Not Obtainable" when ever I try for changes only. A bit of improvement I suppose when compared to the message "Master not active. Online Changes Not Possible". The Server is in runtime & is communciating well with the H-System Regards Nil

CBo Gold Member Joined: 4/5/2006 Last visit: 10/10/2024 Posts: 917 Rating: (63)	Hi Nil, that's a lil strange 'cause that messages says you have redundant configured somewhere can you check please if you activate redundancy in WinCC explorer or if redundancy configured in Simatc Shell (ES station and OS station) Once, are you able to see OS project from Simatic shell ES Station ? Regards

Kwy Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Seems like you have redundant servers configured?? Because, actually, if you have a redundant OS Server setup, online delta loading is ONLY permitted if BOTH servers are in Runtime. Check first if you have that configured. After that, check the Delta Loading permittance files, which have entries in them to check if delta download is possible. Those are both on ES and OS Server. If you don't know what I'm talking about, contact the Simatic Support.

Well I tired the one explained below: ( I tried this on a normal single station machines) Formated both the xp machines which were giving me delta loading problem . Then on the ES, created 2 PC stations and configured them with atmost care. Downloaded the COMPLETE OS to both the machines successfully. When tried to download --> changes only , in one of the machines it got successfully downloaded and in the other machine I am getting the message "Master not activated. Load online changes is not possible". Well, I tried to figure out why only one machine is getting downloaded successfully, but I am not knowing the exact problem. But was able to find a little clue--> For the machine which is getting downloaded successfully, when I click the PC Station name-->PLC-->configure, I get the configuration dialogue with entries for "wincc application" and "ie general". For the other machine when I do the same procedure for configuring the PC station, I get the message "Target computer is not accessible". When I open the simatic shell in all the pc's, we are able to see all the computers on the network. Regards Nil

Nil96 Posts: 325 Rating: (14)	HiCBo, Find attached the screen shots. I tried many different options but un-successfull. If the delta download is gud on one machine & problem with the other, then I think the reason might be something with the windows or the machine itself. When trying to download changes to the servers we got the same message (Master not activated. Load online changes not possible). Both servers are active and the @RM_MASTER tag is "1" on the master. This must be a bug in PCS7 V7.0 SP1? Regards, ER
