[quote user="Ikkezelf"] You can not run windows server 2003 sp1 for a client. We use windows xp for clients. Please check compatibles list with regards, Ikkezelf Thank you for your suggestion. You will note that we have tried both Windows Server 2003 SP1 and WIndows 2000 Professional clients. We have not tried Windows XP Professional, but we will try that if it is the only thing that will work. (I suspect it is some other problem though.) It is still not working with the Windows 2000 Professional SP4 client. As a side note, the compatability matrix for WinCC 6.0 is rather unclear. http://cache.automation.siemens.com/dnl/DcxOTk1NQAA_8795716_FAQ/WinCC_Windows_Serverkompatibilitaeten_e.pdf In the table it shows that the client can be Windows Server 2003 SP1 - perhaps the "X"s in the Windows Server 2003 SP1 row should be removed from the table ifthis selection is not valid. That being said, the notes ot the table do indicate that the clients must be ALL Windows XP Professional or ALL Windows 2000 Professional. It is because of this note as well as other installation documentation that we had attempted to use the Windows 2000 Professional client as the only client in our configuration. Dan |

Hi, you should check the WinCC release notes of your installed WinCC version. There you get the compatibility as well... nemo |
