Hi, Login as a administrator and try the same and if it is working we can confirm that there is no problem with the installation. or If you get the error only in the user login please see the below attachement for the authorization for the user account in my PC. One more thing, you can check in the services (Run=> Services.msc) for starting of all WinCC related services and if you feel some of the services are not running, you can enable the required services in the msconfig (Run => msconfig) You can check in the SQL database also weather all the services are running as shown in the attachment.

Are you trying this with Remote Desktop or locally on the PC? With Remote Desktop, you can also have strange effects if you don't connect to console. |

Simatic Net, PC Software Edition 2008 is installed (along with its Simatic NCM V5.4). The target PC operating system is Win XP Pro SP3. |

Talking to some other wincc specialist they also had the problem , they did the same as you to solve the problem .they also contacted Siemens and were told to install the latest update for Wincc V7 SP2 its update 4. Eric |
