Wireless Modbus tcp ip

I want to communicate advantech wise 4012 remote I/o card with s7 1200 over Modbus tcp/ip through a router.

router - Dlink ip is 192.168.0.1

plc s7 1200 I/p is 192.168.0.172

advantech card wise 4012 I/p is 192.168.0.173

i have connected the PLC and router through Ethernet port , wise card and pc ( for tia portal ) are connected to the same network over WiFi ( PC IP address is 192.168.0.105).

i have created a program in tia with PLC as client.

I want to get field signals wirelessly on the PLC . is such kind of communication possible ?

please help I’m stuck

I recommend for first check this network functionality easy with 2 PC SW - MB Client and on remote PC MB Server. Prepare network with IPs and Ports (MB Server app with Port 502 as standard) and try connect from one PC app to remote. Battle without experience here and firstly also with PLC is not good idea. if your network will work as expected then PLC can be networked with same system and easy because you will know about your network functionality.

did quick test with my old 54 wifi router and working perfectly. You have also control over download/watch table Online and of course S7-1200 get data from NTB MB Server PC app. I have also defined IP of S7-1200 little bit different due network to have functionality test.
