Hi, I don't have exprience but I think it could be imporant for you to know that the speed over the Wireless Link isn't as fast as you have written. This speed is only available on the wired ports. THat means that the bus speed and bus cycle time will be affected with an unknown delay due to the wireless transmission. In the specification they don't talk about this. A better solution for connecting nodes wireless would be via real Wireless LAN for example. An interesting solution could be a CPU with a Ethernet Interface which is capable of being ProfiNet IO Controller. You could connect a Scalance W AP with as a client an IWLAN/PB Link which is PN IO Device and a ProfiBus Master. Behind this master you can connect all availble Profibus Slaves. With such a solution you don't have the delay of the Wireless Transmission for your complete bus system. This since the IWLAN/PB Link has his own specific PN IO Update time which could be lower then for the devices connected over wires. This would be a very stable solution which is already used all over the world. Below you will find a link to a reference application: https://www.automation.siemens.com/net/html_76/newscenter/firma_schmolz-hochregallager.htm |
