Hi, That is not good news... When downloading the entire program, all the blocks in the CPU are deleted and the program on the ES project is downloaded. Actual values are lost. Those values can be saved in the ES project by executing a readback. The readback function will take online values and store them in the ES project. When a entire download is occurred, those values are downloaded. During an entire download, the CPU is set to STOP and after restart all blocks are set to default settings. Why did you need to do an entire download? When using a backup, make sure the timestamp of the CPU is still the same. If the CPU was downloaded after the backup was made, you get a warning that the offline-online do not match and the only way to solve this is the entire download of the CPU. Probably this was the case? See the following link for more information about downloading a project/change: Link |

Furthering what Oreca said, if you downloaded an AS project with older timestamp, it is possible you had many DBs mismatched between the (new) OS still running and the old AS logic. In this case your OS will behave strangely, assuming you want/need to run the old code, then you should also download the OS(s) related to that AS timestamp. |
If my post helped you, please rate. Thanks. |

Thank so much for your help I remembered readback has been done during entire downloading but the trouble still came in. My understand about readback : it only take the online values to CFC chart on ES. But wincc will take online values ( in PLC) to winCC. Could you share how can i save the online value and put it back after entire downloading? First time, i have not found converting BCD to INT in CFC so i added 1 FC Ladder and added this FC in a chart. Cfc found block interface changed, please reimport. I followed the instruction steps by Simatic manager. After that i wanted to come back the previous project before i added the new function, i coppied the old project back to ES HDD and used it to download ( i thought i am wrong at here. Because my backup is made by coppying the project folder ( is not by Archieve and Retrieve)). Did my way make different timestamp and the trouble come in ? |

In your situation, I believe you will need senior help with PCS 7 experience. Since you have performed full download with old project, you will need to use the old project to continue the engineering process like OS compilation and download OS. Else, you will need to find the current correct version and perform a full download on PLC to match your PLC and SCADA data. for your extra info , checking timestamp could be done via 1. Open your CFC editor at the target AS 2. go to Cross reference 3. go to statistics |
Please give me 5 stars Rating if my post is helpful for you. :) |
