Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	hi, Recently i have found two wincc client stations 9both running their own project) reacting very slowly. IfI have a look in the diffrences between a perfect working client and a very slow one i see that their are multiple instances of the following two processes: CCAlgIAlarmDataProxyServer.exe and CCDmIVarProxyServer.exe Does any one of you out their know what can cause these processes to start up multiple times? And can this be the cause of the very slow reaction on the clients? I'm using WinCC V6 SP4 HF2 Simatic Logon V1.2 SP1 HF5 ( i know i should have V1.3. It's ordered and on its way). Any help would be greatly appreciated. With regards, Ikkezelf

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	hi Nemo, One of the two slow pc's (and running the processes) is running on LAN. This is a desktop pc. I have several more desktop pc's that have the same configuration and are running oke (and without the multiple instances of the processes). The other pc, is a laptop, running on Wireless. Again, I have multiple laptops running on the wireless that rae functioning correctly. All client pc's run with 1GB RAM. and a fast enough CPU. with regards, Ikkezelf

It could be that they are only started on a client machine ?? I think the first thing would be to find out what they are used for and from there we can figure out why multiple instances are starting. Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	if we shutdown these processes, a new instance will be created within a second. Even after a reboot they will appear. We did not have this issue when we ran wincc SP2. Bad thing is, that we did the update to SP4 here on site. We can go back to SP2, but if not needed... it saves us valuable time. note: that we use simatic logon v1.2 sp1 hf5 together with wincc sp4 hf2. note: these processes don't exist on the wincc sp2 clients thaat we had. with regards, ikkezelf

Your Simatic Logon versionshould not be causing such a behaviour. Are these problem-clients connected to 2 WinCC servers? This might be the reason for calling the processes twice... => you should contact WinCC Customer Support nemo

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	hi nemo, First, My collegue haas called the hotline and submitted the request. The clients are connected to ten servers each. CCDmIVarProxyServer.exe runs ten times. CCAlgIAlarmDataProxyServer.exe has one process running at the moment (but i have seen more). We will try to solve it with through the hotline, but any ideas are welcome. (your part of the hotline in germany Nemo? if so, the request will probably end up on your desk then [:)] ) with regards, ikkezelf

Maybe the slow performance is not related to the proxy services. Also, when you say the clients react slow, what parts do you mean ?
