Changing Device Type in WinCC 2008 Flexible

Hello!

I am trying to change the device type from TP177A 6" to TP177B PN/DP 6". I have the original WinCC 2008 Flexible project.

When I go to compile the project after changing the device type, I get 4 errors - Snip1 in the attached file.

However, checking the area pointers and connections, the parameters are the same - snip 2.

Any ideas?

thank you for your reply. In the meantime I managed to do the project compilation, just placing "undefined" at all places at Area Pointers where I was getting errors. So, the idle machine was back in operation. The only "issue" I had is that everywhere a timestamp was on the HMI, now it was missing (it is logical based on undefined time tag). Now, to complete the project as it should be, I will follow your links instructions. Once again thanks a lot!
