Signal Status (IO Status) on HMI Panel

I want to see the status of a signal via the HMI panel, but the signal will not be predetermined, one or more IO fields, combobox etc. Whichever it is, I will write the Signal type (Input, Output), Byte Number and Bit Number, for example (like I5.4 or Q4.7) and a Maintenance personnel will be able to monitor the status of this signal from the HMI Panel. How should I go about it? A similar question has been asked before but has not been answered, What I want to do is more or less clear in the gif file below. Since you have a MultiPanel, you can create a faceplate to visualize the inputs and outputs of different I/O modules. Faceplates will handle the multiplexing of the inputs/outputs. Or you can do the old fashioned way and create tag's to the HMI tag table, where in input and output status is. Depends how many power tags you have free, how you need to do the tag declaration. To save power tags, you could set the tags as input word or input doubleword, to allocate 16 or 32 bits to one tag. Then you can just create a page where you change the visualization of a box, describing the status of the input/output. Use the input or output tag for the visualization.
