Communication between Siemens S7300 and TP170A touch panel

gigacer Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	I am trying to connect Siemens S7300 (CPU 314 IFM) with Siemens TP170A Touch panel via MPI communication. I need to show value from a sensor on the touch panel via output tag. I get the value from the sensor in the Step 7 but i cannot get that value on the touch panel. I don't know what am i doing wrong beacuse i always get zero value. I maked the printscreens from configuration. Can someone please look at the pictures and tell me what am i doing wrong. (I am using ProTool Lite which is integrated in Simatic Manager) Attachment TP170A.zip (429 Downloads)

dchartier Grandmaster Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 11/14/2024 Posts: 12294 Rating: (2691)	Hello gigacer; The first thing I noticed is that your Netpro jpeg image shows MPIaddresses 1 (the TP) and2 (the CPU)used in the network, but your communication setup in Protool shows you asking for connection to a partner at MPI address 3. Let's try to correct that error, for a start. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

gigacer Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	thank you for the reply, i tryed to change Address to ''2'' in Peer Parameters but nothing happened, i again get 0 value on the panel, when i changed Expansion Slot to ''2'' also i get some weird numbers on the panel (see the pictures). What could be the problem? Hello gigacer, Now it looks you have some kind of communication Perhaps you can change the properties of the Tag. (From Dword to Real) And in output field, change properties to use a decimal point. Best regard, Wizard
