Wonderware Intouch communication with CPU 315-2 PN/DP

imran Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Dear All I want to communicate CPU 315-2 PN/DP through ethernet/PN port with wonderware intouch 5.6b. Would it be possible to use standard ethernet card on desktop PC on which wonderware intouch is installed. Also keep in mind that the same desktop have simatic manager v5.4 basic installed. My question is this that above given hardware configuration will work or I need any extra hardware or sofware(like OPC or DDE server). Regards Imran Ghaffar

(for the communication with intouch i use CP, but in monday i can check it) this is what i can say about hardware. about the software - if you use intouch version 5, 6 (too old version) you need simnet software (readwizardpost)butifyouuseintouchversion8,9,9.5youneedonlyDAS SI Direct I/O server from wonderware.withoutsimatic net. regards umencho

Try to establish conection (i mean hardware) after configuring the server and post result here. if you can;t establish connection must use CP.
