Profibus PA Issues - IM153-2

Hi Experts

the current project I am working on I am migrating a S7-300 System to a 1500 

The System has a Network of Profibus PA items.

My Hardware is

1516 CPU

IM 153-2 - 153-2ba82-0xb0

DP/PA Coupler 157-0ad82-0xa0

I Have read numerous threads on the need to use the GSD tool to combine the Profibus PA GSD files into the IM 153 GSD

I also Am aware I could run the whole Profibus DP network slower and just use the DP/PA Coupler with the profibus PA GSD Files being present in the hardware configuration

I would like to use the IM153-2 as would like the two networks running at different speeds

I have spent several days now trying to get the hardware set up working to no success

has anyone any support they could provide

Currently I have on a test Bench the Hardware set up with one Profibus PA items

I have Profibus DP Comms to IM153 ( BF1 Light Off) 

I have Orange DP & PA Lights on 157 DP/PA Coupler

I have BF2 Red Light Flashing

I have SF Light Solid

My Profibus PA item has the same address as item in the combined GSD made by the GSD Tool, If I disconnect the PA Item or change the PA address I loose the PA light so I feel that that connection is established to the DP/PA Coupler

this kind of message describes generally wrong cfg of module. As message describes, it is good to check if different components aren't configured, compared to existing order numbers and versions. Next important info is that use of s7-300 components with S7-1x00 is not possible in case of specific special modules configurations. I recommend investigate further in compatibility of link modules with S7-1x00 systems.

General compatibility:

S7-300/400 systems <-> ET200S/M

S7-1x00 systems <-> ET200SP

 If you'll not have other recommendations from Forum in some your expected time, contact pls Support for advice.

Update: Ok, I see S7-1500 system as best in market and also supports of S7-300 code (especially STL) is accepted but if also special blocks for S7-300 (specific modules as communication) can be used exactly without any changes I don't know really. With S7-1200 it is problem exactly because of STL not supported. Really again, hard to say if you have compatibility problem as I mentioned or only some specific network problem and compatibility of S7-300 all modules attached to S7-1500 is supported. Really don't know so expect better contact support as I mentioned already.

quite good solution but I'm really curious about use of that IM functional directly to S7-1500 as user expect to do. Hope he will tell us maybe some message from Support or he finally find maybe problem in his network generally.

Hope I understand his post correctly, he also mentioned that he has that documentation to  this Tool and has read this possibility as you've linked in your post. I don't know, I'm curious.
