Problem with 6ES7315-2AF03-0AB0 CPU

Paresh Posts: 116 Rating: (1)	Hi, I am using 6ES7315-2AF03-0AB0 CPU for Profibus communication. I have configured the PLC as master and communicating with third party slave. The Problem is as follows. When I configure 1 word input and one word output in CPU, communication works fine and I can see the modified data in Master as well as slave. But when I configure more than one word say four or eight words for input or Output, data exchange is not ok. I can not see modified data from slave in to master and vice a versa. In such case, Profibus communication is ok as there is no BF or SF. Can any one guide me to solve this issue? Waiting for quick response...... Thanks in advance Regards Paresh

When you configured a slave to communicate 10 words to master, you might have the possibility to configure "Total consistency" or 'Unit consistency" When you choose "unit consistency", it is possible to communicate through words. It might be that just a few words are transferred and the rest will later. So some words have new value and others still have old value. When you choose "total consistency" the total amount of words (10 in example) are transferred in one block. So all words will have new value or all words will have old value. (there will be no mix) I hope it will help. Best regards, Wizard
