On-screen keyboard off screen

peva Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	Hello all, first, sorry for longish post, but now I'm completely lost. We use WinCC Flexible SP1 HF3 with panel MP377 19" Touch. The character on-screen keyboard is almost off screen (see attached image), the numeric on-screen keyboard is completely off screen, so it's not visible at all. I have tried to reboot the panel, even unplug the mains, it's still the same. I have tried to connect the USB mouse to the panel, but the on-screen keyboard isn't a real window, I can't "drag and drop" it. In the Control Panel -> Input panel there is only the option "Enable the resize button", but this doesn't help, either - as the resize button is well off the screen Unfortunatedly, I haven't got the WinCC Flexible project, so I can't try to reload it - normally such things are reserved only for the manufacturer of the machine, who is unavailable now (yes, August - holiday time). The only option I can see for the moment is to connect the USB keyboard to the panel, but - this also has a downside: such things usually just "magically disappear" after a while (especially during the night shift). I would welcome any helpful hints how to fix this issue. On a side note: seems to me it could qualify as a bug - anyone from Siemens listening? Or should I log it as a bug somewhere? Regards, Behnam www.sigmaprocess.ca Well, the problem is, that to click+hold+draw, one must do it on window title, or at least border. And my problem is, that the window title in my case is just desperatedly off screen, so I can't click it, and the border on this window apparently doesn't exist. I see just a couple of left side buttons and when I click + draw on any of them, nothing happens (just the button is pressed). I guess this is the standard Windows behavior. Regards, Petr

Fortunatedly I have no problems in stopping/running the runtime, so I'm able to test such things. The behavior is exactly the same no matter how I start the keyboard: - From the application - Start -> Programs -> Softkeyboard - Control Panel -> Input Panel -> Show keyboard Well, at least it's consistent... I tried it on my PC and it looks it is developped only for the standard Windows keyboard. Anyway, thanks for the hint. Petr

fbelic Posts: 327 Rating: (28)	Greetings Skimmer's solution sounds good to me. You can first upgrade it (WinCC flexible 2008 SP2) and then downgrade it (SP1)... Alternatively, I see in technical data that you can connect external USB keyboard to it. You can try next: connect it, set focus on virtual keyboard and then press Scroll Lock. You "should" be able to move the focused window with arrow keys then. Best regards
