Message type error

fazal hussain Posts: 42 Rating: (0)	I want to create a function block (lets say FB 1) containing the "Meas_Mon" block along with some other logic. I have inserted all the logic in a CFC and added the I/Os that i need in the Chart I/Os table. When i compile this CFC as a block type, a block called FB1 is created and availabale in the project library.[:D] However, when i try to insert this block in another CFC, i get an error message saying that "Message type of block type FB1 does not exist or is inconsistent"[:mad:] I'm using PCS7 version 6.1

fazal hussain Posts: 42 Rating: (0)	hi, thanks for replying. well i have done the settings in the SCL compiler "Take into account system attribute S7_Server". But no luck. There is one more thing i have observed. If i remove the Meas_Mon blocks input "Msg_Evid" from the chart IOs before compliling the chart as a FB, i dont get any error. But then i wont be getting unique message IDswhen i callmy FB in a CFC. Is that right? What does the attribute S7_a_type of "Msg_Evid" input do?

fazal hussain Posts: 42 Rating: (0)	hi, thanks again. well it seems that i have stumbled across a solution: if i compile the SCL file of the block @FB1 from the SCL editor after compiling the chart as FB1, i can insert my FB in the CFC and i dont get any kind of error.[:)][:D][:D][:D]
