IO Connection for IOT250

CFormagio Member Joined: 3/23/2022 Last visit: 10/29/2024 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi! I would like to read more IO's from the IOT2050, but the extension modules don't have a lot of IO's... Is there any way (Low cost) to read more IO data? I was thing to buy some IO to conncet with Ehternet port 1, and read the data. Is that possible withou a CPU? OR is there a better way to make it? To explain, i have a very old machine that i will not be able to connect end extrac the data, so i will take the IO of the machine and read on IOT 2050 to export the data i need for my server... I don't know if that is the better "Low cost way"... Thanks for the help!

bergmanu Platinum Member Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 11/5/2024 Posts: 3345 Rating: (379)	Hi, the only thing I know to solve that without PLC is to the ET200SP MultiFieldbus interface module with respective modules for DI / AI. The MF interface module can provide data via Modbus TCP, which you could read with the IOT2050. We also have a PNDriver for the IOT2050 in the pipeline, with that you could also use standard ET200SP interface modules. But I do not know when we will release this. Best regards!
