Selecting Hardware type in Logo Soft Comfort-6ED1052-2MD08-0BA0

Hello Logo community ! I was asked by a friend of mine to modify his logo program of his car wash. Since I have not worked before with this smart relay I have installed the demo software just to try out if I could make up the logic. After I have finished the program, now I was looking how I could upload the program to the device when I will get the logo software license. I`ve selected "Tools" → "Select Hardware" → "Hardware type" , but when I wanted to chose the "0BA0.Standard" device from the drop down menu I was not allowed, the text font is in grey and an error message appears and says that "I7 input - block number too high". Searching before starting any programing about the specs of this logo model (6ED1052-2MD08-0BA0), on Siemens site it says that it is a 8 input, 6 outputs relay (so it was wired and programmed by the company who made the electrical cabinet). My wonder is: What I should do to get around this error. Apparently I can`t use any model below 0BA.4 standard.

I don`t know why but I was able to upload just a photo in my first post. Here is attached the second. Maybe it explains better the situation. Manny thanks! |

The LOGO! with the order number (6ED1052-2MD08-0BA0) is a 12/24 RCE without a display. In the device selection, it is a LOGO! 8.1 & 8.2 (LOGO! 8.FS4). The important part of the order number is the 08-0BA0. This indicates that it is a 0BA8 LOGO!, not a 0BA0 from the early days. |

Whith the demo software you can't upload the program to the device. You need to buy the software onetime only and get lifetime free upgrades. |

JdZ I know I can't upload but I was just checking if my program can be used with the above mentioned controller before I would purchase the license. Thank you for your time! Cheers ! |

The new software can be used with all the previous hardware versions. You can and must set the software in the program page of the unit to the correct HW version and your good. Only you can't use new type program blocks and features on older HW, but all the older blocks for the HW are still available in de software. All type of connections to the Logo-unit can be used also. |
