Update SCL code procedure

RobL Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	I cannot find the right procedure to update SCL code. I have some SCL code which calculates some setpoints and sends them to SP_EXT of CTRL_PID blocks. The SLC code is compiled as a block and then inserted into a CFC chart. However when I change only some calculation code what is the procedure??: 1. - Compile the SCL code (changes maybe)? - Update the block type - Compile everything in SFC - Download to the AS 2. - Compile SCL (changes??) - Download changes from SCL compiler I hope someone can give me an clear answer to this problem.

RobL Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	So a compile changes and download changes from SCL is sufficient? I ask this since when you do a download from the SCL editor no real feedback is given, like when you do a download from the CFC editor. This makes me unsure if the download is succesfull and working.

PRK Posts: 38 Rating: (2)	Compile changes and download changes from SCL should besufficient. I have not worked with SCL but I have programmed a FC in STL. This FC is called in CFC. First time I have to call the FC in the CFC,compile totally and download.Any minor changes in FC is done with STL editor and downloaded to CPU directly and nothing donein the CFC calling the FC. STL editorasks for a confirmation to overwrite as block is already in CPU. Only thing is the header should be same otherwise you have to update the block in CFC and compile total and download.
