Questions regarding moving a MotL block into its own chart

A question regarding this if you would be so kind... Say I programme a new installation with various bits of equipment (e.g. pump, heater, transmitters etc) in a single chart then compile and download OS so all block icons appear on runtime and then decide I want to move, for example, the MotL block into its own chart, will; - I be able to cut and paste MotL block into a newly created chart and PLC compile and download ONLY or, - I have to compile OS as well? or, - I have to compile AND download OS? So that the block will still work on Runtime. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi, Yes, you only have to do a download change for the AS. You will need to compile the OS since the tag address has changed from one to another CFC. After that, you can download the OS server. This can be done by a download change. |

Hi, yes, The motor will still function if you have done the download, but not operable on the OS. You need to compile the OS and execute download change. This will not take too much time if only the motor has changed.If you did a lot of changes, it can take longer. |
