Installation of the Puppet agent on the IoT 2050

vp2021 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I recently purchased the IoT 2050 and installed the proposed base image Debian 10 buster. Currently, I will install the agent Puppet (open-source) in order to control the 2050 remotely. By following the recommendations of the software publisher Puppet, I always get this error on the 2050. What is so special that it doesn't work? root @ iot2050-debian: ~ # apt install puppet-agent Reading package lists ... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information ... Done Package puppet-agent is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source E: Package 'puppet-agent' has no installation candidate

Package naming schemes are often different across distro, may also deviate from the upstream patterns. So you need to check how Debian structures things in particular. That package database is of great help for that.
