I'm trying to get a CP 1243-7 to send alarm SMS messages to mobile devices.

I've followed the "Signaling and Switching via SMS with S7-1200 and CP 1242-7 GPRS V2" guide which states the user blocks can also be used in a 1243-7 device too.

However, when I run and trigger the alarm, it's sending my CPU into error with "Temporary CPU error: Area length error in FB 3 - The value addressed by the access address is outside or not completely within the permitted operand range (CPU-specific variable or size of the data block)."

And no SMS is received.

I'm using a 1212 DC/DC/RLY CPU and also a DI16 module too. 

All numbers are stored in the '+447xxxxxxxxx' string format.

I'm not sure where I'm going wrong here. All the settings are as per the document (except the required config details for Vodafone UK and my SIM card, and the hardware identifier of the CP which is 271 not 269)

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Where is that alarm message output?

Have you looked i the diagnostic buffer of the CPU for corresponding messages? If you use the Save AS button in the diagnostic buffer screen, you will generate a txt file that we can study; it contains the logged messages from the buffer, along with more details that can help us understand the problem you are facing.

So save the logs of the diagnostic buffer and attach the tt file to your next reply, if you please.
