For PLCs with firmware 2.6 or lower, you cannot put a value in "ServerUri", it is not supported. If this solution works, it is not viable for everyone The 8005_0000 error can also come from an invalid buffer size. Hope someone managed to fix this problem. Louis

Does anyone managed to run the demo project with TIA V16 and PLC Sim Advanced V3? Thanks

I have the same problem connecting to a device which serves as the OPCUA Server. The S71500 is the client and I get the 16#8005_0000 error. Any help would be appreciated. oluwasedago Experienced Member Joined: 3/30/2015 Last visit: 3/7/2024 Posts: 70 Rating: (1)	I somehow managed to solve this issue by using the combination of editing the server url in the DB settings and used that as the start value and also configuring a Server connection with the Server IP in the PLC settings. I did a manual PLC memory reset. Somehow, everything got working. oluwasedago Does anyone have a solution to this challenge? I have the same problem connecting to a device which serves as the OPCUA Server. The S71500 is the client and I get the 16#8005_0000 error. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Adding a DNS server in the network did the trick. OPC UA server was not communicating on IP bases, PLC couldn't find the OPC UA server when added on name bases hence the DNS server. Using the information I got from this forum (by examining the UaExpert connection log), I discovered that the PLC I connected with the URL 'opc.tcp://193.193.193.125:4840' responded as 'opc.tcp://xp315:4840'. As a result of my attempts, I solved the problem by adding the following just before the "OPC_UA_Connect" block. Thanks to everyone who shared information. I did what comes in the following Link: in the solution #1, I have assigned the IP address with its port # of the server opc ua server. I did this in the following tag: <name>_Configuration > Connection > ConnectionInfo > ServerUri. Before doing this, first set the "opcUaConnect" bit to FALSE, this variable is linked to the communication block "opcUaClient". Once the IP address + port # of the opc ua server is set. Enter the PLC in online mode and send it to Stop mode, then apply a MRES. Wait for the connection to re-establish, put it in RUN again and try to establish communication again with the opc ua server. To do this set the ControlingInterface_opcUaConnect variable to TRUE, the error will no longer appear in the Status variable and in the SubFunctionStatus.
