Hello,

What happen if we replace digital module 8 input with another digital module 16 input?

DM8 = 4 input and 4 output

DM16 = 8 input and 8 output

There's no expansisonsmodul with 16 Input, 8 is Maximum.

Please note:

Max. of digital outputs: 20
Max. of analog inputs: 8
Max. of analog outputs: 8

Hi,

Regarding the use of AI from the base module, if I will use 2 AI (I7 & I8), on the next expansion module the first input will be I9 or I7?

At first:
Digital expansion modules (DM) have no analog inputs, only analog expansion modules (AM).

The number of an analog input depends on several factors.
Under the file properties (File> Properties> Offline settings> I / O settings) determine how many analog inputs are activated on the basic module.

If all AIs on the basic module are deactivated, the first analog input is on the first analog expansion module AI1.
If two AsIs are activated on the basic module, the first analog input is on the first analog expansion module AI3.
If four AIs are activated on the basic module, the first analog input is on the first analog expansion module AI5.

On the next digital expansion modul ist the first number of a digital input I9.

Whether analog inputs are activated or not on the basic module.
