Alarm 3000 Emergency Stop cannot be cleared

For Emergency 3000 alarm check bleow points.

1. Check DB2.DBX180.0, it must be 0. Please select MENU button on OP, press DIAGNOSIS ---> press PLC ----> PLC STATUS window will pop up. In first raw type DB2.DBX180.0 & check its status. If it is 1, it is the reason emergency alarm 3000 alarm to pop up. To trouble shoot this you need to go online with PG/PC having SIMATIC manager Step 7 v 5.4 software & MPI cable. If you do not have software & haradware, check the ladder or document supplied by OEM. In the ladder logic check the network in which DB2.DBX180.0 is set. This will help to trouble shoot.

2. In electrical circuit diagram find out 2Q3 circuit breaker & check its application. It might be for protection of auxiliary motors like chip conveyor, coolant motor etc. etc. Also check the auxiliary control NO, NC & find out where are they connected in electrical circuit. This might be input to PLC. But generally such overload protections are not connected as Emeregency STOP unless & until it is related with safety issue.

I read the file that you have sent to pandora303 but I cannot understand it that well.

Please refer file attached to user pandora303 post, emergency stop acknowledge or rest only when DB10.DBX56.1 (Emergency stop button pressed), DB10.DBX106.1 (emergency stop is active i.e. bit is set which should get released after releasing of PB or any saftey device) these two signals are low & when reset key i.e. DB21.DBX7.7 is pressed i.e. its signal changes from low to high & again to LOW after releasing key. So check these signal status on PLC STATUS page. 

 If you machine is professional OEM made machine Please name the OEM .

If it is. I think the E-Stop should be easy to reset. You said you have machine only 3 months but you did not say -if it is you 1st time to press E-Stop button? and I don't know if you checked E-Stop button itself --Open the Panel to find the button connector --there normally 2 pairs of connector

at least one NO and one NC .

I don't think you need so many help to do the checking? 

E-Stop is very common pressed Button --I have a lot of customers, who have CNC machine , when they finished the work, just press E-Stop button and going home. next morning release the button reset E-Stop alarm, make the machine running in minutes  

So I suggest you start with a simple thing--give feedback please

I am working on a Sinumerik 840d, I have a problem with this alarm, it appeared after I pressed the emergency button to adjust the jaws on the chuck.

After that I tried to start with the start up process again, but then the alarm 3000 Emergency Stop wouldn't go away.

I tried turning off and on the machince but it didn't help.

I read the file that you have sent to pandora303 but I cannot understand it that well.

I am beginner, and I have this machine only 3-4 months.

Please let me know if you can help me anyhow.

different machine builder have different E-Stop policy .

But most modern designed machine would be use Safety relay plus E-Stop Buttons/ Limit switches and safety interlock switch.  You can follow the output trace back to input of safety relay.

If safety relay working good but your machine still has E-Stop you need to check OEM PLC program and PLC/NCK interface signals

I have same problem of 3000 Emergency Stop I am trying to solve the problem .

We Found that our main power connection pin was lossen that's why alarm was not reset even after on/off the machine. That power point pin supply power to the Bar Feeder.

After lock the pin inside socket EMERGENCY STOP alarm was reset.

I attached the photo of the pin.
