Hi all,

I am trying to get my VOT web application to appear on my browser without much luck. My setup is:

TIA17, PLCSIM Advanced V4.0, microsoft edge and IE for browsers.

So I can access the PLC in the web browser if I type in it's IP address. From here I can see the PLC status and many more indications. Then I click on "User-defined pages" and I get a link to the ViewOfThings which I click on, however, no page appears, it is blank.

Tried on 3 different browsers. I have exported the certificate and imported to browser so I no longer get the unknown certificate issue. I complied VOT first then downloaded to PLC and checked the web application box in the popup before download.

I am stuck and not sure why I'm getting a blank screen. I attended a siemens webinar and have followed the steps given in their example and cannot figure this out!

it's hard to identify, what you are missing but i might be able to give some hints:

1. Do you access the web-page via https? Http will not work.

2. Do you have the virtual ethernet switch activated in PLCSIM-Adv.? This is necessary i think for the webserver

3. Did you do a full-download and make sure that VoT is downloaded? (I assume you did, because you have an entry, but who knows)

4. Maybe accessing the Webpage directly works. Try: https://IP-Address/~VoTApplicationName.

Make sure, that "~" is there. It is needed.

If all of that does not help, i guess the technical Support is the way to go.

There is a workwaround for this problem

This solution worked flawlessly for me, as often is the case with Mr. Pegaia, aka "the guy who always knows exactly what we're talking about" :)
