We have installed a machine name Thermosol dyeing machine. Previously, vipa speed 7 CPU315SN older model used on it with gateways of lenze EMP T-120 attach on it. After that, we upgraded the machine from company. They changed the cpu vipa speed 7 of new model. Also replace the gateways with vipa gateway IM 253-1DP01. Also changed some I/O modules with vipa module of same properties. Means to say 8 x24V DC DI module with vipa 8x24DC DI. All other modules are of lenze modules.

Now, whenever there is a fault on any module DI/ DO/ AI/ AO. We either replace the modules with lenze or vipa. Machine is working perfectly.

In hardware configuration of simatic manager. We cannot add lenze modules to vipa gateways or cannot add vipa modules to lenze gateways.

Is it possible to add either lenze or vipa modules with vipa gateways? then how to change it in hardware configuration? How we diagonose the fault?
