Also connecting IQ to box pc is not as simple , you need to use or profibus or profinet. Eric

RD3 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	If you need to interface your process with other devices/software on your PC, you may want to consider on of the WinAC products. The WinAC ODK add-on provides a nice interface for interaction with other PC based software or devices.

beserb Posts: 52 Rating: (4)	According to my experiences, choice between a S7-CPU and WinAC depends on the field of use. I don't trust a PC commanding a chemical process. I don't think a PC based solution can be as robust as a PLC. But if you want to grab some field data and create reports, databases etc, then WinAC may be an appropriate solution.
