I would like to ask for a help with a pointer. I already read some documentation but I'm not able to do my task.

I want to make switch for two bits - one is DB1.DBX0.0 and second is DB2.DBX100.0. This in first case, when some int=0, next case - int=1 two bits are DB1.DBX10.0 and DB2.DBX150.0 and so on.

I was able to create a pointer where I'm calculating DBX (AR1 raises by 10.0 and AR2 raises by 50.0) regarding int number but I am not able to store also the DB number.

This causes when I want to check this bits that I must OPN DB [1] at first, check one bit with AR1 and then OPN DB [2] and check second one with AR2.

Is there some way how to store the whole adress with DB number - I mean that after execution of this:

A [AR1, P0.0]    ----- now I get DBX0.0 from last opened DB but I want to check the adress DB1.DBX0.0

A [AR2, P0.0]     ----- instead of DBX100.0 from last DB I would like to get DB2.DBX100.0

So the whole problem for me is to store and load the DB number without OPN command.

It is hard to understand your requirement from your explanations, but if you can formulate the whole procedure in form of variable DB numbers,variable and iterative addresses you can try indirect addressing, address registers ,loops and DB/DI registers.Please formulate your idea, develop you initial thoughts and share them here for further comments.The sample codes are available for making DB numbers dynamic:

  OPN   DB [MW 100]
    OPN   DI [MW 102]

This is what I've done for indirect addressing.

      L     #Int        // Load number of selected unit

      +     -1           // Unit number 1 starts in DB as number 0

      SLD   3         // Change bit pointer to byte pointer         

      L     4             // Load step

      *D                   // Combine pointer and step (for unit 1 = P#0.0, for 2 = P#4.0 etc)      

      L     #Offset   // Load starting offset (=46)

      +D                 // Combine (unit 1 = P#46.0, 2 = P#50.0 etc)

      LAR1            // Load into AR1

After this, into AR1 there is pointer to bit location (P#46.0).

I would like to put in also number of DB - is it possible?

So i would like to have in AR1 this - P#DB1.DBX46.0 - is there any way how to get it into AR1?

The whole problem is that I want to set or reset 2 bits depending on number in #Int (this is working now because i have quite the same function for second address) but one of them is placed in DB1 and second one in DB20. So is it possible to store the whole address into AR1 and AR2 with the DB number?

 It is not possible the whole address you mentioned in AR1 ( P#DB1.DBX46.0).This notation is similar to ANY pointer and requires 10 bytes of data or DB pointer.If you want to the task in iteration, use loops and if you need to work on 2 DBs , DB registers will help.To access an specific DB/DI use open command for each.I think check the sample codes in the following thread will help you.Try and update:
