Information in exception buffer tells only about last crash, that was at 17.12.11. The only error is user error. Find the USF-FB and check the 15th bit of the word at its input, this bit is the cause of user error.

cohiba1966 Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hello,KSN. The FM stop serval days ago. The line was running and stop suddently. Now we just want find the reason so it will not happen again. The exception buffer message show that "user stop triggered on another CPU". Can I suppose that the S7-400 CPU cause the stop of FM4581DP? I find a value transfer from S7-400 CPU to FM458 was very big. it displayed space at stop moment in PDA. However I make a test communicate a value that 100 divide 0 from S7-400 CPU to FM, FM458 do not stop.

Yes, I think S7-CPU was the cause of FM STOP, but to be sure you need to read diagnostics from Error fields and Exception buffer immediately after the FM goes to stop, before you restart FM-program. cohiba1966 However I make a test communicate a value that 100 divide 0 from S7-400 CPU to FM, FM458 do not stop. Have you set a checkbox 'Use default values for invalid floating point numbers' in properties of FM in HWConfig? If this is not set, there is a chance for FM to go to stop.
