Hello.

Normally the OEM would have a solution for this, and easy way of changing measurement system to run only from the motor. 

But since it is obvious to me that you do not know of such a solution, my best advice is to disconnect the motor and run the axis manually during the calibration process. 

It is unfortunately not easy to guide you without the original PLC project of the machine or onsite support.

#1-from picture you attached, I understand--you may replaced RENISHEW encoder READER HEAD  (Most people call it encoder--I don't) --this one most used on rotary axis or spindle, encoder is magnetic

strips on the rotary Shaft and reader which receive signals mounted on the fixed position, 

Please answer me, who installed the new reader, did he followed instruction. the gap between the reader and rotary part is very important, which guided by a filler gage supplied together with the reader

#2--I believe you have professional person to replaced new reader's cable to connector and use original reader, original SM module (you have 840D sl, Non Drive Cliq encoder need converter)

please check all points of above mentioned 

I have a little confused --it seems your C axis has been running some time after replaced header and you said it already can be referenced . but what happen after that? 

#3--I have some trouble to understand you in full. " What  means  C axis encoder open"--defective?

what is your machine supplier --is it machine builder? normally the 3rd party encoder should be responsible by OEM, --if it is a new machine you need to call them to fix it. 

#4--I hope in the future when you post NC alarms not only giving the numbers but also alarm text

Yes you post the alarm screenshot, But I have hard time to check it as the picture (why) too small and not clean

1.    the drive is 1P 6SL3120-1TEA23-0AA3 Single motor module 

2.    ENCODER IS RENISHEW  Model T2001-15A

 Did you said this encoder working for you, referenced C axis at least 1 or 2 times.?

The problem is that the reference point encoder will not read until our C axis rotates.---

Do you think your need order a new encoder reader --it is possible reader defective at least reference signal wires/cable defective from the reader--I remember it cost about $500 USD

In diagnostic i checked that baxis drive is not ready thats why i think enable signal is also not there please guide me how to check----when you check "No enable signal for C axis? is there other alarm?

if yes, that may Not get enable

Yes, you are right, before we opened it and set the gap and the machine ran.

This happened to us 2-3 times last time we were told by the supplier that the encoder is broken and replace it.

There was a strip for gap setting with encoder so we set them to order but the axis didn't work.

We have properly checked the encoder cable connector and SMC20 and their wiring is fine.

Green signal is also present on SMC, while we insert the encoder, the orange LED is also blinking on it, which senses its response.

The problem is that the reference point encoder will not read until our C axis rotates.
