How to create time filter buttons(VBS or C, what code is needed)?

I’m currently facing a challenge with creating a time filter for my WinCC project. I am using version V8.0,

The goal is to have a report screen that displays values for four different energies. I also need three buttons to select the time intervals for the data to be presented.

So far, I’ve created a tag logging archive and added an OnlineTableControl to a graphics designer screen with all the tags from the archive. However, coding isn’t my strongest suit, and I’m unsure how to write code that will filter the data based on the selected time interval.

For example, if I click the 'Daily' button (with a predetermined time interval of one hour), the code should filter all timestamps, starting with the value at midnight and then selecting values at hourly intervals. These filtered values should then be written to the OnlineTableControl table on the process screen.

Additionally, the filtered data should be imported into WINCC through a new button on the process screen.

I also attempted this with UserArchive, but I’m uncertain which approach is better or what specific code I need to write to achieve the desired result.

I also read the tutorials from FAQ but if I'm honest, I didn't really understand it.

If someone could please help me with those codes, I would be forever thankful...
