CPU 317-2 SF LED Fault

Hello,

I am new to the whole Siemens environment and i am looking for some guidance to pin point a problem i came across. I have a CPU 317-2 that has the SF LED on. I was able to get online with the processor but i am not sure how do define the actual error to fix. i was able to pull the diagnostic from the PLC to share. If anyone can please show me what i should check next i would appreciate it.

First, the diagnostic messages you post show that one of your modules "requires maintenance"; it is identified by its diagnostic address (addresses in the high range). See if you can locate it in the hardware configuration. 

It mentions twice that an error OB, OB 82, is missing in your program. You should start by adding a new OB block, named "82" to your program, and download it to the CPU ( no program is necessary in OB 82 at this time. The CPU operating system will use the system parameters of OB 82 to collect more details on the fault when it appears again; in the meantime, the PLC should stay in RUN mode.

Next, the message that appears in your screenshot "Error in low-level component" is indicative of a fault in cabling or connection in your network. See the following discussion:

It seems that you have problems with PROFIBUS DP master system. Broken wire, termination, last slave power off?

 Thank you for the suggestion, I will double check the profibus wiring, and please take note that I also replaced the Analog I/O module but the problem still comes back from time to time, thanks again I will keep you posted.
