PCS 7: edit-->reorganize

Testermax Posts: 159 Rating: (3)	Hello! Yesterday I wanted to try out the reorganize function in Simatic manager that I read som much good about, "its like defrag your disc etc.". So I closed my project down (wincc, simatic manager etc)and restartet simatic manager, and startet the reorganize function by file-->Reorganize. Everything seemed to work well, except when I tried to open my multi project again! When I try to load the multiproject I get this error saying "Can not read hierarchy folder"! When I acknolwledge this message with the ok button, then it dissapear. But all I can see in my subprojects (plant view) is the shared declaration folder. Im missing the hierarchy folders! Does this mean that the "Reorganize function" has wiped all my hierarchy folders in the multiproject?? I have rebooted and started up again with the same error. My installation is PCS 7 v7.0 on an xp machine. I have two project in a multiproject. One pcstation as an es_os (singlestation) Please help! Attachment error.zip (180 Downloads)

Testermax Posts: 159 Rating: (3)	Hello Nemo No I didnt use the "Save As" with reorg., but triggered the Reorganize function directly from the File-->Reorganize. Siemens support mentioned that my project might be damaged now. I havent tried to open it on another ES When I retrieved my archived version, and did the same reorganize (File-->reoganize), everything seemed fine! Different this time was that I didnt close my project in the Simatic manager. Dont think this has anything to do with the error, but anyway..... Good thing that I had an archived version.

Yoga Shankar Posts: 288 Rating: (22)	Please Open the Component view of the multi-project. All you charts (CFC and SFC and SFC-types) will be available and visible. If there were some internal errors in the plant hierarchy assignments and/or some othe rdatabase entries wrt the plant hierarchy, the function simply deletes the existing hierarchy. All you have to do is this: 1. Create a new plant hierarch manually. 2. Cut and paste your charts into their respective hierarchy folders from the component view into the Plant view. The charts will then appear in both views. 3. Compile the ENTIRE OS with memory reset option and also the PICTURE TREE checkbox checked. 4. (Optional) Download the entire OS project to the OS server(s) 5. Reactivate the OS Runtime.
