Connect active sensor to 6ES7134-6HD00-0BA1 card

We have active sensor which have pins for 24vdc power supply, input for SP+ and SP- (4-20mA), and output for feedback FB+ and FB- (4-20mA). How to connect active sensor to this type of card 6ES7134-6HD00-0BA1? Also have analog output card 6ES7135-6HD00-0BA1. First solution: To use the card 6ES7134-6GD01-0BA1. Second solution: Is there any transducer which can accept active signal from sensor and convert it to passive... Maybe one Turck IMS-AI-UNI/24VDC, for SP set to 0-10V (from AO card) -> 4..20mA (to sensor) and one for FB set to 4-20mA (from sensor) -> 0..10V (to AI card) I'm not sure if conversion from AO card is needed... BR ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from analog card 6ES7134-6HD00-0BA1.

Joined: 9/16/2024 Last visit: 9/4/2025 Posts: 9 Rating: (1)	Hello Milosh, If I understand correctly, the signal you want to process through your AI module is the feedback (FB+ to FB-). If that's the case, maybe you could try to connect FB+ to I_n+ (e.g. terminal 13 for current AI on channel 0), and FB- to M. Normally, the 24 VDC loop should be L+ -> 3A fuse -> Uv_n -> Passive device -> I_n -> Resistance & Analog/Digital Converter -> M. By doing so you would have this 24 VDC loop : FB+ -> I_n -> Resistance & Analog/Digital Converter -> M -> FB-. Ground potential being the same in both cases, phase potential should be the same too. However, the current wouldn't pass through the module's internal 3A fuse. When you have a look at the 2-wire / 4-wire AI module's manual (6ES7134-6GF00-0AA1), that is roughly the indicated wiring for a 4-wire device's signal part (ie active signal). Anyway, I'm not an expert so I would recommand you to try it on a test scale first. Milosh Hello all. Also had the same issue. danw Gold Expert Joined: 3/28/2010 Last visit: 9/5/2025 Posts: 1171 Rating: (220)	Yes, there are isolator/signal conditioners that can convert an active 4-20mA signal (on the input) to a passive, loop powered signal (on the output). But the spec sheet for the Turck IMS-AI-UNI/24VDC says it has an active output, not a passive output.
