First, thank you for reading my post! 

Now my question: 

I have an ET200 (IM151-8 PN/DP). 

This CPU and it's old program is password protected. 

Now I've tried resetting the module to it's factory settings (in TIA portal) But now when I try to load in an test program I get the error that the module is password protected. 

Is there any way to remove the complete password protection? 

Maybe by inserting a new SD card? 

Please check the picture in the appendix for the message the compiler gives me when I'm trying to upload the test program.

Hello Hati, 

Today we've switched out the memory cards. 

I now have another problem. 

i cannot load to the cpu of the et200 anymore. 

When I insert the new card I'm getting a lot of errors and eventually my tia portal would crash when trying to performance a upload. 

Whe I inserts the old card again, this problem is solved, but I get the password question again. 

Now I did notice later on that one code was different on the memory cards. The old one said: S C-X1 And the new one said S C-D7. 

Now I've tried to search these codes but I cannot find a lot on them to what the difference is. Is this maybe my problem or do I have to find it elsewere in the CPU?

Hi,

as Hati already mentioned, you ned a clean (empty!) MMC. So my question is, ist it a new unused MMC, or just another MMC which was also used previously?

Nevertheless. Just delete the data on any of the MMCs. Afterworks it should work with both of them.

Do NOT format with windows!

Tonight I've tried to perform the total reset of the old mmc. 

I still need the password for this when I try to do this. 

I did some more tests as well. 
It seems like I cannot even connect to the CPU when I try it with the new card. 
In the appendix I've inserted a pdf file with two pictures of the module and what is happening in terms of communication. 

When the old mmc is inserted there is no problem and I can easily connect to the cpu. 
If the new card is inserted, there unfortunately is no connection possible between my computer and the cpu. 

Is there an explanation for this? Doet the new one need to be formatted? 

Please note that the new card actually is a new card which is empty!
