Tweety, Thanks for the pointer but that didn't help much.

I tried doing the following:

Dim objComboBox

Set objComboBox = ScreenItems("Combo1")
objComboBox.Clear()

But it did not work. I was getting a object type not allowed message.

I finally was able to create a work-around. I did a slight revision of the code I use to fill the combobox dynamically. This is what I came up with:

'First Clear the combobox.

lines = ScreenItems("Combo box_1").NumberLines

Do While lines <> 0

ScreenItems("Combo box_1").NumberLines = ScreenItems("Combo box_1").NumberLines -1

ScreenItems("Combo box_1").Index = ScreenItems("Combo box_1").NumberLines

ScreenItems("Combo box_1").Text = ""

lines = lines -1

Loop

This is the code I use to fill the combobox dynamically from a sql query result. rst is a sql result of an executed connection object :

'Now populate the combobox.

lines = 1

Do While Not rst.EOF

ScreenItems("Combo box_1").NumberLines = lines

ScreenItems("Combo box_1").Index = ScreenItems("Combo box_1").NumberLines

ScreenItems("Combo box_1").Text = rst.Fields(2).Value

lines = lines + 1

rst.MoveNext

Loop

If anyone has any idea as to why theobjComboBox.Clear()does not work, please let me know as this would be a much easier way to accomplish clearing the combo box.

Use micosoft combo box as an activex control in wincc screen and you can use .clear and add items property.
