Quite recently, we came across two products with part numbers 3RH2140-1KF40 (coupling contactor relay) and an auxiliary switch with part number 3RH2911-1GA04.

To the best of our knowledge the auxiliary part is compatible with the 3RH2140 series. However, there are two small plastic segments that won't allow us to mount the aux part on the contactor.

We won't install any other part except that aux part, on the contactor. 

Our question would be what is the purpose of those two segments on the contactor and if we break them, what might go wrong?
