Is it possible to access archive data using OPC UA in WinCC 8.0?

If so, can they be accessed by setting the WinCC server to OPC UA client or does it need to be OPC UA server?

       It is possible to access the WinCC historical data via OPC connectivity. You need the optional Connectivity pack license for this architecure (activating WinCC OPC UA Server). There is typically no required configuration for the OPC UA Sever ,otherwise, in 8.0.  Your client could be a third party OPC UA Client as an example to connect to the WinCC OPC UA Server.
