Problem in going online using a merge project in starter via S7-400 PLC

vivek kumar gupta Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi Everybody In a galvanizing line few process drives are connected in the fashionexplained below- S7-400 PLC(CP443-5 ext port)-->Through profibus to OLM-1-->Through optical fibrecable to OLM-2-->connected to drive via profibus with normal looping with other drives . Now when i try to go online with these series of drive via S7 online drive is showing some communication error. But with the same PLC few more process drives are connected through direct profibusfrom port CP443-1of the PLC and with these series of drive there is no communication problem as such. Howeveri amnot facingany problem while operating the drives from PLC like normal jog , drive on/off, setpoint changeetc, but i am not able to go online via PLC. Can anybody tell me whether this problem is due to this extended port or is something else because in other section of drives i am not facing any such problem? Thanks Vivek

vivek kumar gupta Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi I have checked the PG/PC setting i am using 'ISO Ind Ethernet' from engineering station PC. Using the same PG/PC setting i am able to go online with other section drives so i am quite sure its not problem with PG/PC interface it is something else. So please help me out.
