ipc 467B stop working

fanana Posts: 179 Rating: (1)	I have a PC 467B has been working for more than two years , suddenly stops working all LED is lit Customer reported this issue today , customer tried to disconnect power and put again nothing happen . Can anyone help me ?

Restart the IPC 4. Start WinAC RTX Controller 5. Load User Program again 6. Run WinAC RTX Maybe this helps?! Maybe the reason was a memory leak or to less memory. Sometimes it happens that you forget to delete some variables or threads in the Visual C / C++ program and then you will run out of memory after a while. Best regards, bigfoot

fanana Posts: 179 Rating: (1)	Thank you for your replay But I am mean that the simatic PC (computer) stop working all alarm leds on the front of PC are lit constant. Windows can't be loaded no bios screen.the customer give me this information and I am going next week to solve it so I need to know which equipment should bring with me.

Can you see that the ipc is working after restart when you look at the status leds? you should take a backup image with you. In case you can't solve the problem you can at least restore the ipc with the last image. best regards, bigfoot

fanana Posts: 179 Rating: (1)	Thanks for your replay According to customer information he told me that the IPC starts but no black screen POST , and the all front LED is constantly LIT , I don't now why ? Should I try to put the an image , but I am not sure if the PC will accept it , maybe there is a hardware problem in the PC , I just want to know the procedure that will help me to investigate the problem.

Hello,

in the manual they write:

All front-panel LEDs are constantly lit

Error in early BIOS-POS

In this case, contact Technical Support.

I don't think a new image will solve this problem...

fanana Posts: 179 Rating: (1)	Thank you for replay I contact the support abd advice me to disconnect all pic , etc.then start the PC if the problem still exist sent the PC to the repair center.so I went to the site today and start our investigation with Remove one of the RAM and start the PC it is working and all led was off except power and hard disk start to work but as you know the Os can't loaded because we use one RAM But I try to change the ram position because I don't have spare RAM ,but the problem still exsit when two ram connected . But the one ram on specific slot the behavior of PC normal I mean post no error. only one slot ok and the second slot make POST error .. So it appear that the problem in the slot of RAM , I don't know how to fix it. Should I sent this PC to siemen repair center and what is the procedure ? Or should I order a new motherboard? ? We are in the warranty period?

We are in the warranty period? Hello fanana, this sounds like a major HW problem. I would talk to Siemens representitive if they could provide an exchange while this panel is sent to repair. regards
