Hi there, I'm hoping somebody can help.

One of my guess accidentally checked the "CPU contains safety program" on the 319F CPU we are using in an installation, and downloaded. Then attempted to compile the safety program to get rid of some discrepancies, and it caused an array of problems. The area we are working in does not actually require any safety.

How can I go about disabling safeties on the PLC, without having to reformat/factory reset the PLC?

I have tried to un-check the "CPU contains safety program", save/compile, and download.. but whenever I try to download it throws up an error. Is there some step I'm missing? Do I have to manually delete all the safety FB's/FC's/DB's from the program first?

Oops, nevermind. I just found this:

1. Delete all F-blocks highlighted in yellow offline in SIMATIC Manager.

2. In HW Config, select the F-CPU and select the Edit > Object Properties menu command. Open the "Protection" tab and deactivate the "CPU Contains Safety Program" option. Save and compile the hardware configuration. The offline project no longer contains a safety program.

3. The following applies to F-CPUs with an inserted memory card (MMC or Flash Card): To delete a safety program on a Memory Card (MMC or Flash Card), insert the Memory Card (MMC or Flash Card) in the programming device or PC. In SIMATIC Manager, select the File > S7 Memory Card > Delete menu command. You can now copy the offline standard user program to the Memory Card (MMC or Flash Card).

The following applies to F-CPUs without an inserted Flash Card: You can delete the safety program by resetting the module in the SIMATIC Manager (menu commandPLC > Reset). You can then download the offline standard user program to the F-CPU.

It seems I wasnt doing step 1 and 3. I will try this out when I get the chance... hopefully this solves it.
